Project Kind is a community-oriented club that emphasizes the focus on underserved populations such as the homeless. It is an initiative that values members of society in the Oshawa region that are often overlooked by many. Project-based initiatives that are aimed at helping homeless people mainly, but also other underserved populations. An example of a project we would like to commit to is providing care packages with items that will aid their longevity, keep them healthier, and increase the likelihood of them rehabilitating. Further, we want to commit our time to document the perspective of these peoples lives and having presentations to educate and tackle the stigma around homeless persons. This journalism will facilitate a deeper understanding of the harsh survival conditions, and perhaps create a more humanistic connection between people of all socioeconomic status. Ideally, we would like to ultimately do larger projects that involve a more significant impact such as clothing drives partnering with organizations for a platform to speak about underserved populations. Join our community and watch the impact of your help!
